Reciting Surah Zilzal twice

Answered by

Question:

Is this correct?

Surah Zilzal reading two times is equivalent to one Quran

Answer:

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded two narrations on the authority of Sayyiduna Anas and Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhum) which states that reciting Surah Zilzal [once] is equivalent to 1/2 of the Quran.

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2893-2894, also see: Targhib, vol.2 pg.378 & Fathul Bari, hadith: 5015)

Therefore it could be deduced from these narrations that reciting Surah Zilzal twice is equivalent to one Quran.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
