A person’s needs will be fulfilled by sending salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Question

What is the status of the following narration?

من جعل عبادته الصلاة علي قضى الله له حاجة الدنيا والآخرة

Translation: Whoever dedicates his worship solely to sending salutations upon me, Allah will fulfill his needs of this world as well as the Hereafter.

Answer

This narration appears in non primary sources. I have not come across the chain and could therefore not verify the authenticity.

(Al Mustatraf Fi Kulli Fannim Mustazraf, vol. 2 pg. 472)

However, in authentic narrations, Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) has informed us that through the blessings of sending excessive salutations [durud], Allah Ta’ala will take care of a person’s worldly needs as well as his needs of the Hereafter.

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2457 and Musnad Ahmad, vol. 5 pg. 136, Hadith: 21242. See here and here)

Also see here for another narration regarding sending salutations on Friday which will be a means of one’s needs being fulfilled.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
