What is status of following narration?
اطلبوا الرزق في خبايا الأرض
Answer:
Imams Abu Ya’la, Tabarani and Bayhaqi (rahimahumullah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) with a weak chain.
(Musnad Abi Ya’la, Hadith: 4384, Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 899 and 8093, Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 1178. Refer: Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 4 pg. 63 and Lisanul Mizan, vol. 8 pg. 335)
Although the Hadith is corroborated, Imam Nasai (rahimahullah) has declared the text unreliable (munkar).

‘Allamah ibn Tahir Al Maqdisi (rahimahullah) says that this is the statement of ‘Urwah ibn Zubayr (rahimahullah). The narration should rather be quoted as such.
