A Tabi’i’s statement regarding sleeping with wudu

Is this narration authentic?

“Whoever retires to bed in the state of wudu and falls off to sleep while engaging in the dhikr of Allah Ta’ala, his bed will be regarded as a Masjid. He will receive the reward of being in Salah and dhikr until he awakens”

Answer

Imam ‘Abdur Razzaq (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration as the statement of the Tabi’i, Abu Murayah Al ‘Ijli (rahimahullah) and not as a Hadith of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

The narration is suitable to quote as reported. Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al ‘Asqalani (rahimahullah) has also quoted this narration in Fathul Bari.

(Musannaf ‘Abdur Razzaq, Hadith: 19837. Refer: Fathul Bari, Hadith: 6311, vol. 11 pg. 110)
