Wind brings mercy and punishment

I would like to know if the following Hadith is authentic?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The wind is from the mercy of Allah. It brings mercy and brings punishment. When you see it, do not curse it. Ask Allah for its good and seek refuge in Allah for its evil.”

Answer

This Hadith has been recorded in several Hadith collections on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith authentic.

(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 5056, Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 3727, Musnad Ahmad, vol. 2 pg. 250, Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 1007 and Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 4 pg. 285)

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded a similar narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Ubayy ibn Ka’b (radiyallahu ‘anhu) and has declared this version authentic (hasanun sahih).

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2252)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
