Mulla ‘Ali Al Qari (rahimahullah) says in Mirqat ‘قال الشيخ أكمل الدين’. Who was Shaykh Akmalud Din?

‘Allamah Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Mahmud, Akmalud Din Al Babarti Ar Rumi (rahimahullah) was a Hanafi Scholar who was born in the year 710 A.H and passed away in Ramadan, during the year 786 A.H.

He was an expert in Hadith and its sciences, Islamic Jurisprudence, Arabic etymology and syntax and ‘Aqidah.

He has authored several books including a commentary on Al Hidayah, entitled Al ‘Inayah as well as a commentary on Usulul Bazdawi, entitled At Taqrir.

‘Allamah Babarti (rahimahullah) travelled to Halab and Egypt in his quest for knowledge.

He studied under, Qiwamud Din Muhammad ibn Muhammad Al Kaki, Abu Hayyan Al Andalusi, Ibnu ‘Abdil Hadi (rahimahumullah) and others.

Abul Hasan Sayyid Sharif Al Jurjani, Badrud Din Mahmud ibn Israil (rahimahumallah) and others studied under him.
