What is the authenticity of this Hadith?
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Allah has ordered me to destroy musical instruments/the oboe and the drum/tabla.”
Answer
This is part of a longer narration recorded in Musnad Ahmad on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) with a weak chain.
