Another narration on the virtue of musafahah (shaking hands)

I wanted to know the reference and authenticity of the following Hadith.

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Verily, when a believer meets another believer and greets him [with salam] and shakes his hand, the sins of them both will shed like the shedding of the leaves of a tree.”

Answer

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith. The Hadith is well corroborated and suitable to quote.

(Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 247. Refer: Targhib, vol. 3 pg. 433 and Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 8 pg. 36)
