Another version of the Hadith regarding the stingiest and most helpless of people

What is the reference for this narration?

Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said:

“The stingiest of people is the one who does not greet and the weakest is he who does not pray for others”

Answer

Imams Ibn Hibban, Abu Ya’la and Bayhaqi (rahimahumullah) have recorded this as the statement of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

(Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 4498, Musnad Abi Ya’la, Hadith: 6649, Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 8394. Also see: Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 10 pg. 146)

However, this has also been authentically reported as a Hadith of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). See here.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
