What is the authenticity of this Hadith?
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“A thorny branch was causing trouble to Muslims. A man came and cut it and due to this was forgiven/ gained entry into Jannah”
Answer
Imams Bukhari and Muslim (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith. The Hadith is therefore authentic.
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 652, 2829 and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1914 and before Hadith: 2618)
