Whoever has been granted kindness has been granted goodness

What is the status of the following Hadith?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Whoever was given his share of gentleness/kindness, then he has been given a share of good. And whoever has been deprived from his share of gentleness/kindness, then he has been prevented from his share of good”

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abud Darda (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He has declared the Hadith authentic (hasanun sahih).

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2013)

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded the following words:

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whomsoever is deprived of kindness is in fact deprived of good.” See here.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
