Is this narration authentic?
A man said: “O Messenger of Allah! Which of the people are the best?” Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) replied: ‘He whose life is long and his deeds are good.’ He asked: ‘Then which of the people are the worst?” Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) replied: ‘He whose life is long and his deeds are evil.’”
Answer:
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He has declared the Hadith authentic (hasanun sahih).
