Did Nabi Nuh’s (‘alayhis salam) son construct a glass conveyance?

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by

Is it true that Prophet Nuh’s son, Yam assembled some sort of glass conveyance/boat to protect himself against the flood?

Hafiz Ibn Kathir (rahimahullah) has mentioned this as the view of some commentators.

He then says, ‘This is sourced from Historical narrations [Israiliyyat], and Allah Ta’ala Knows best regarding the authenticity.’

(Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Surah Hud, Verse: 43)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
