What is the authenticity of the following Hadith?
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Iman deteriorates just as clothes become old and worn, so ask Allah to renew the Iman in your hearts”
Answer
Imam Hakim (rahimahullah) and others have recorded this narration. Imam Hakim has declared the Hadith authentic and Hafiz Dhahabi concurs. ‘Allamah ‘Iraqi and ‘Hafiz Haythami (rahimahumallah) have also declared the chain sound.
