The importance of tutorship and the benefits of knowledge

What is the authenticity of this narration:

Sayyiduna Mu’awiyah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that he heard Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) say:

“O people, knowledge can only be acquired through seeking it, and the true understanding of Din can only be obtained through in-depth study [tutorship], and the one who Allah Ta’ala wishes good for, He grants him the true understanding of Din, and among the servants of Allah Ta’ala, it is only the ‘Ulama (those who possess the true knowledge) who fear Him.”

Answer

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith. Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) states that it has been corroborated by similar narrations and is therefore sound (hasan).

The narration is suitable to quote.
