As’salaam alaykum Mufti Saheb, My father passed away some time back, however while i was having a discussion with my mother i got to know that he did not pay her meher. Would it be taken as a debt which my father did not clear, or do i need to pay it on behalf of my father to my mother..Jazakallah.

(Fatwa: 535/535=M/1430)
If the father had not paid the mahr, it will remain debt on him. You should pay the mahr of your mother from the property and wealth (land, cash etc) left by your late father.
