An unauthentic narration regarding the reward for kissing children

Is this Hadith reliable?

“Kiss your children often, for each time you kiss them your rank in Jannah is raised. The Angels record your rank in accordance to your kisses. The distance between each rank is one year’s travel”

Answer

This Hadith has been transmitted through a fabricator. The narration is not suitable to quote.

(Lisanul Mizan, vol. 7 pg. 444, Dhaylul La-Alil Masnu’ah, vol. 2 pg. 699 -Hadith: 854- and Tanzihush Shari’ah, vol. 2 pg, 216/217)

There are authentic narrations which mention Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) showing affection to children. These should be quoted instead.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
