An unauthentic narration on a punishment for not forbidding evil

What is status of the following Hadith and can it be quoted?

“By The one in whose control lies the life of Muhammad, some people will raise from their graves in the forms of monkeys and pigs, they acted kindly towards those who perpetrated sins. They kept silent and did not prevent them from sins whereas they were able to”

Answer

Imam Ibn Bishran and Imam Abu Nu’aym (rahimahumallah) have recorded this narration in question with an extremely weak chain that consists of a fabricator. Hafiz Dhahabi (rahimahullah) has also dismissed the authenticity of the chain of narrators.

(Amali Ibn Bishran, Hadith: 900, Ma’rifatus Sahabah, Hadith: 4577. Refer: Lisanul Mizan, vol. 1 pg. 44 -number: 1005-,  and vol. 1 pg. 681, -number: 877)

This narration is not suitable to quote. There are other authentic narrations encouraging us to enjoin good and forbid evil which should be quoted instead.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
