Does this narration go against the sahih Hadith which says durud ibrahim is the best durud [salutation] of all? What is the authenticity of this narration, and is its du’a found in any Hadith book?
He said: “Whoever wants to praise Allah, with the more excellent of what anyone from his creation, the first and the last, the close angels and the people of the heavens and the earths and [want to] send durud upon Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) more excellent than with what anyone has mentioned, other than him [Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)], and ask Allah for [something] that is more excellent than what anyone has asked Him for then let him say:
Answer
This is a suggested form of salutation based on the opinion of the mentioned Shaykh; Ibnul Mushtahir (rahimahullah).
It is not contrary to any Hadith that I am aware of.
Kindly provide the words of the Hadith which you see as being contradicted.
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
