Durud (salutations) when sitting in a gathering

What is the authenticity of the Hadith which states that if you say ‘bismillah’ and read durud (salutations) before sitting in a gathering, Allah Ta’ala will appoint Angels to protect you from backbiting?

Answer

This Hadith is part of a lengthy fabricated narration which was a supposed conversation between Khadir and Ilyas (‘alayhimas salam) stating that they heard Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) narrate approximately twenty two (22) Hadiths.

This Hadith is not suitable to quote.
