What is the status of this narration?

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,

Answer

The Hadith in question is recorded in Al Kamil of  Hafiz Ibn ‘Adiy. However it has been declared as a fabrication by numerous Muhaddithun like Hafiz Ibn Hibban, Imam Ibnul Jawzi and Hafiz Dhahabi (rahimahumullah), and should therefore not be quoted.

(Refer: Al Kamil, vol. 4 pg. 89, Kitabul Majruhin Minal Muhaddithin, vol. 1 pg. 313, Talkhisu Kitabil Mawdu’at, Hadith: 941, Lisanul Mizan, vol. 3 pg. 225 -2644- and Tanzihush Shari’ah, vol. 2 pg. 363)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
