Is the knowledge of aqeedah incumbent upon every muslim?

Assalamu alaykum.I want to know if it is obligatory on me to either learn the maturidi or ashari or the athari beliefs.Please Sheikh i’m old.Can you explain the basics so that i may live with it?

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

You do not have to learn in-depth ‘Aqidah. Knowing the basics is fine.
