How to do ghusl if an area is covered with a bandage?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Assalamu alaikum, I developed a spot with liquid on my leg, I had to go hospital and they put a patch on it every few days, while I do ghusl that area does not get wet because of the patch covering that area, so I was wondering if my ghusl is complete?

Answer:

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

In the aforementioned scenario, if one is unable to wash or wipe the injured area because of the bandage, then it is compulsory to wipe the bandage with wet hands for a person’s ghusl to be valid. Otherwise your ghusl would not be done.   (Raddul Muhtar p.471 v.1)
