Question:

Salaam. I’m on my 5th day at the moment with the dream istikhara but so far I don’t see or feel a sign. My mind is still set to move out but needs that guidance as don’t want to risk it with kids. I need my space as I’m just a maid at in-laws. What should I do? I feel like I can do this and move out Allah is with me.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Istikharah does not necessarily mean that the person will see a particular dream, but it is related to the heart, if you have a positive feeling towards a matter then you should go ahead with it or otherwise leave it. It can also be done for 7 days and then a matter can be decided[1]. If you have done 5 days, continue for another 2 days before making the final decision and if you feel positive about moving out you can also discuss it with another person who will give you sincere advice.

Only Allah knows best.
