Question

When was the first hadith mentioned about hijama? Were there times Rasulullah (saws) mentioned it before Al Israawal Miraaj?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Hijamah was a well-known form of treatment before the time of the Prophet ﷺ and at the time of the Prophet ﷺ. It was used as long as there was a need/illness that had to be treated in the person. It seems like the first narrations encouraging Hijamah are from the events that took place in Isrā and Mi’rāj. [1]
