Question

Is boxing allowed in Islam?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Boxing as a sport is not allowed in Islam as it can harm the individual. The Prophet, peace, and blessing of Allah upon him, said “If one of you fights then they should avoid the face.” This is in regard to a fight and in the case of boxing as a sport it even more so that a person should not hit the face.
