Question

I have a question regarding marriage. Question: Let “A”(Man) & “B”(Woman) gets married, they have children “C” and then they get divorced after few years. Let another couple “D”(Man) & “E”(woman) gets married and have children “F” and gets divorced after few years. Now after these two divorces, The man “A” and the woman “E” get married and they have child “G”. The woman “B” and the man “D” don’t get married to each other, they don’t know even each other. Now according to Islam, can a child “C” marry child “F”.?

In the name of Allah; the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Answer

In response to your question; C and F would be permitted to get married, due to them not being Mahram to one another. In the case of a half-brother and half-sister; where they share a parent, the marriage would not be permitted as they are viewed to be Mahram of each other.
