Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Please, guide me in the following matter: I have written my name Mohd Shakib Ansari according to 10th marksheet. Some person said your right name is Saqib. Please tell me what should I do for the betterment of my future because I want to get all for my parents. Please show me a right way to get all these things soon.

Answer

(Fatwa: 241/142/D=1433)

(1) Shakeb means: patience and firmness while Saqib means bright. Hence if you have any of these names then it is right. And Shakib is not a proper word, you should change it.
(2) Right now keep your parents happy by doing their service and obedience. In lawful matters keep their preferences at priority. Do not hurt them by your words or deeds. When you are prosperous then do not leave any stone unturned in their service. In this world and hereafter the most useful son is one who is pious and dutiful. Hence you should be firm in Shariah practices i.e. salah, fast and avoid sins. Earn halal livelihood and always save yourself from haram.
