Question:

Can women wear rings other than silver and gold whilst  praying salah

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Women are able to wear gold, silver or jewellery made of any other material such as diamond and platinum etc. Men are not allowed to wear gold or wear silk clothing.

The Messenger of Allāh (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):

“Gold and silk have been permitted for the females of my ummah and forbidden for the males.” (Sahih al-Bukhāri No.5853)

However, it is disliked for both men and women to wear rings made from brass, lead, and copper.

Imām Ibn Abidin says:

“Brass, copper and lead are detestable for men and women”

Women are not required to remove the jewellery or any item of clothing while they are praying unless there is any impurity in them.
