Question

Suppose a woman has breastfed a child.

1. Now every man this woman marries during her lifetime, will all of them be considered as this child’s milk father?

2. If this woman touches a man with desire and hurmat musahara takes place between them. Will this man be considered milk father to that child?

Answer

If a woman has breastfed a child, her husband will be the foster father of that child because he was the reason for her milk. If she marries another man and they consummate the marriage he will be considered the foster father as well.[1]

As for the second query, there are a few types of Hurmat that are established in a few different ways. Hurmat Musaharah is one of these ways and it will be established if she touches a man with desire.[2]
