Actually i wanted to know that can we listen and sing naat of junaid jamshed? as everyone knows that he was a Pakistani pop singer and then he left everything and joined tableeghi jamaat with the grace of Allah (SWT) and maulana tariq jamil sahab also worked hard for him. and then mufti taqi usmani sahab told him to sing the naat then he started singing naat in the guidance of mufti taqi usmani and maulana tariq jamil sahab. and it is allowed in Islam to sing the naat. actually a person told me that he was a singer in his past so we should not listen his naat but mufti sahab he has changed his life and he sings naat in the guidance of mufti taqi usmani and maulana tariq jamil sahab. he is an ideal for Muslim youth. mufti sahab please tell us that is it allowed to listen and sing his naat? whereas mufti taqi usmani guides him.

There is no harm in listening to a naat that is free from music, instruments etc and contains right material.
