I am working in store which does lottery,can i use lottery machine to serve customers? There are scratch cards which gives prizes is it haram for muslims to play lottery and scratch cards?
Answer:

Since lottery and scratch cards involve gambling, hence it is haram. Almighty Allah says:
إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالأَنصَابُ وَالأَزْلاَمُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ [المائدة : 90]
“O you who believe! Wine, gambling, altars and divining arrows are filth, made up by Satan. Therefore, refrain from it, so that you may be successful”. (5:90)
Also the job of handling the lottery machine and getting its payment is not right due to helping in sin. Almighty Allah says:
وَلاَ تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى الإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ [المائدة : 2]
“And do not help each other in sin and aggression” (5:2)
