I want to know about Islamic name. My name is Waseem Ahmed and my wife name is Nasreen. My wife gave birth to a baby boy on August, 21, 2013. Our relatives suggest many boy names but I asked about his names from Maulana and he replied me keep baby boy name Hussain so we decided his name Hussain Ahmed. Please suggest me about this name and meaning because my relatives saying this is Shia name but I know this is not a Shia name. This is the name of the grandson of prophet of Allah and one most knowing Maulana Hussain Ahmed Madni sahib.

Hussain is the diminutive form of Hasan. Hasan means good and beautiful. It is good name. You may keep it as this name is not the sign of Shias. The scholars of Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah have been keeping this name earlier and later, therefore what some relatives say is not alright. You should pay no attention towards them.
