Sleeping on Stomach

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by CouncilofUlama.co.za

Q: In Islam it is prohibited to lie on ones flat stomach. But my question is that I am 17 years old and when I fear falling into sin and zina (adultery) one of the things I do is I sleep lying on my stomach and I notice that when I wake up I have a wet dream so then my desire is terminated. Will I be allowed to sleep on my stomach in this case?

A: It is not permissible to sleep on the stomach, for this is the way shaitaan sleeps. You have to exercise control over your nafs (soul).  Reflect on Maut (death) and the punishment of the Qabr (grave) in store when the nafs makes does haraam.
