Shaking Step Mother’s Hand

Q: If a man remarries is it permissible for the man’s son to make salaam to and shake his step mother’s hand?

A: If there is a very small age gap between step mum and step son it would be better to avoid any form of physical contact. However if the gap is very big and there is no fear of fitnah it would be fine.
