Q: Can a goat be made as qurbani for a new born baby?

A. Aqeeqah and not Qurbani is made for a new born baby. A goat can be slaughtered for Aqeeqah. One goat for a girl and two goats for a boy. If a person cannot afford two goats for a boy, then one will also suffice.
