Could you please give me a reference of hadees narrated by Hzt Abu Huraira Rz that Rasoolullah SAW has said “Almighty Allah says, I treat my slave according to his expectations from me…..” I need reference as one of my gair muqallid friend needs this reference.
Can one use chewing gum? As some people says that it contains some haram ingridients aswell?
Is it acceptable, doing miswak in a state of performing salah.
Please answer my above queries, may Allah shower his blessings on all Ahle haq Ulama and increase the noor of kalamullah and sayings of rasoolullah……AAMEEN
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
1) The Hadīth you refer to is found in Sahīh al-Bukhāri [121:9 #7405] as follows,
أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا ذَكَرَنِي، فَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي نَفْسِهِ ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي نَفْسِي، وَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي مَلَإٍ ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي مَلَإٍ خَيْرٍ مِنْهُمْ، وَإِنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ بِشِبْرٍ تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا، وَإِنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا، وَإِنْ أَتَانِي يَمْشِي أَتَيْتُهُ هَرْوَلَةً
Rasūlullah e said, “Allah said, ‘I am as My servant thinks (expects) I am. I am with him when he mentions Me. If he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly greater than it. If he draws near to Me a hand’s length, I draw near to him an arm’s length. If he comes to Me walking, I go to him hastily.
2) The permissibility or impermissibility of chewing gum will depend on its ingredients.
3) When preparing for Salah, use Miswak when making Whudu. Do not use it at the commencement of Salah.
