I would like to know the correct method of reciting the verses from Qur’an while reading the Salah.
1) Should the surahs be recited according to the same order of the Qur’an?
2) Should the surah in first rakat be bigger than than the surah in second rakat?
3) Or is it OK to recite small surah in first rakat and big surah in second rakat and maintain the recitation of surahs according to the same order of the Qur’an?
Alhamdulillah your reply will clear my doubts especially for question number 3.

1. The surah recited in salah should be read according to the sequence of the Quran. It is makrooh to recite surah out of the sequence in salah.
“It is makrooh to recite reverse (out of sequence)”
(Raddul Muhtar, Vol 1, Pg.546, Saeed)[1]
2. It is mustahab to lengthen the first raka’a of fardh salah over the second raka’a.
“Imam Muhammad R.A says, ‘I prefer to lengthen the first raka’a over the second one in all obligatory(fardh) salaat’ and the fatwa is given on his statement”.
(Fatawa Aalamgiriya, Vol 1, Pg.78, Saeed)[2]
