Can I lead in following cases. I am leading people who have no one fist beared or islamic clothing

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I have couples of question related to leading salah. Allah (swa) gave me hidayah to become haafiz late in my life, early 30’s and so far I have done four chapter, I have one fist beared and wear kurta all the time alhamdulillah, which only became possible by the will of Allah, almighty and the effort of my Ustaad. At work there are praying facilies available which all muslim uses and noemally I go there with my friends. Some of them have one fist berared but do not wear kurta.

Now main problem in leading salah with me is the mortgage, that I took some years ago, and I am trying my best to get rid of it by all means. But till that time can I lead in following cases.

1. I am leading people who have no one fist beared or islamic clothing

2. I am leading people with one fist beared but no islamic clothing

3. I am leading people with no one fist beared but islamic clothing

4. I am praying namaaz with my wife

Your help will appreciated and may Allah (swa) reward you in both world

Answer

Maashaa Allah, may Allah reward you for all your lofty intentions. Yes, you are allowed to lead the aforementioned people in prayer.

When leading the Salaat with your wife, she should stand behind you and not to the right of you as the case is when there is a single male following you.
