We are married couple for 8 years, we don’t have children?s. Physician comment is in near future my wife doesn’t have any chances to get pregnant. We know Allah’s decision is more than anything. Insha Allah, so we thought to adopt a child. to make that child mahram to us, can my wife take medicine to produce milk and breast feed that child. Jazakallah
Answer
It is permissible for your wife to take medication to produce breast milk.
If the adopted child is given breast milk within the first two years of his/her life, then only will the child become a Mahram.
