I have recently seen a picture of the Prophet’s (SAW) kabr (grave). Is it real or is some other kabr shown? It’s decorated with clothes with Arabic lettering over it in gold.

Answer

We have been informed by reliable authorities that this picture is not the
picture of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam)’s grave. The grave of Nabi
(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) is simple, covered with a green cloth similar
to the pattern of the Kiswa. It is a simple stone without any turbans or
sheets around it.
