My second question is regarding fatiha my mother in-law gives fatiha on some food items asks me to eat them. Is it allowed for me to eat it or not?
Answer
(Fatwa: 356/377/B=1434)
(1) Maryam means: modest. Aiman means: blessed.
(2) Afnan means: the straight branch of a tree.
(3) Yasir means: easy. Habeeb means: beloved.
(4) Ammar means: builder.
(5) Yahya means: alive
(2) Feeding poor and needy ones with the intention of isal-e-sawab to a deceased person and doing isal-e-sawab after reciting the holy Quran both are different things. Both are good acts and with both the practices i.e. reciting the holy Quran and feeding the poor, the deceased shall get the reward. But it is not proved by Shariah to give fatiha on food after cooking it and consider it worthy of isal-e-sawab; hence one should avoid it. And the food of isal-e-sawab is the right of poor and needy ones.
