Assalam Alaikum, One of my friend works in a bank and recieves the salary which his family members do not take as they say it comes from the interest (sood) money. What is the islamic ruling on this? Jazakallah

(Fatwa: 1483/1485/M=1430)
It is haram to do a work in bank which involves writing interest and maintaining its accounts, so the income earned out of it will be regarded unlawful. The family members of your friend are right. Ask your friend to keep on looking for lawful and halal source of income and leave the bank job once succeeds to find a suitable one.
