Respected Mufti Saheb, Assalamualaikum, 1)I just want to know about the use of “Ajinomoto” powder in Chicken dishes, because no. of people say that it is extracted from Pigs skin. Please clarify it. 2) E-Codes like E-305, E-695 etc. printed on various ready made food items in stores instead of mentioning the complete ingredients of that food. People say that these items are doubtful. Please clarify. Wassalam

If it is established by a proper research about the Code referred in the question or any other Code, that any type of Haram item is added in it and, the reality and essence of it is also not transferred by any chemical reformation then it is not permissible to consume it and it is essential and Wajib to abstain from it. And until such time the permissibility of the ingredients of items of such Codes are analyzed and verified, it is essential to refrain from consuming items of these doubtful Codes.
