Question:

Sending food to the neighbours and everyone making dua together before iftar bidat? 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Both of these actions are virtuous acts that are derived from the Hadeeth.

Sending food to neighbours

Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: “Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person’s), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person.”1

Everyone making dua together before Iftar

Abdullah ibn ` Umar (رض) would assemble his family members around him at the time of iftar and would pray.2
