Are the four rakaat sunnat in Jumah Salaat compulsory?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Please explain me about Four Rakat Sunnat, after Jummah Jamat. Are these Suanat-e-Muaqaeda? Is it compulsory to offer.

Hazrat Abdullah Bin Mas ood used to pray four rakaats after Jumuaah, and two rakaats. Because Fiqh Hanafi relies heavily on the opinions of Hazrat Ibn Mas ood, that’s why it is Sunnat Mo akidah to four rakaats after Jumuaah, and then two more rakaats.
