Question
A person is Muqeem at the time of suhoor and beginning time of the fast however will become a Musaafir during the course of the fasting day; is this person required/obliged to start the fast or is it recommended, optional, etc. for them to fast on that day?

Answer
In the aforementioned scenario, it will still be obligatory for one to fast that day even though he intends to travel later on that day. (Ahsanul Fatawa p.427 v.4)
