Question
Is there any authentic Hadith which says that the people of Jannah will see their Rabb every Friday?
Answer
Yes. This is recorded in the lengthy Hadith known as ‘Hadithu Yawmil Mazid’.
The part in question as recorded in Al Mu’jamul is as follows:
“…On the day of Jumu’ah in the days of the Hereafter, Allah Ta’ala will descend from His ‘Arsh to His Kursi. The Kursi will be surrounded by pulpits of celestial light (nur) upon which the Prophets will be seated. The pulpits will be surrounded by golden chairs upon which the martyrs will sit. The inhabitants of the rooms will descend from their chambers and they will sit on heaps of musk but will not regard those seated on the chairs and pulpits to be of extra virtue. Allah The Possessor of Grandeur and Honour will then appear…”
