Du’a on the 15th of Sha’ban

Question

Is there any du’a to be recited on the night of the 15th of Sha’ban?

Answer

In addition to seeking Allah’s Forgiveness and Mercy in abundance on this night, you may recite the following du’a in sajdah [of optional Salah] as well as out of Salah:

A’udhu bi ‘afwika min ‘iqabika, wa a’udhu bi ridaka min sakhatika wa a’udhu bika minka, jalla wajhuka, la uhsi thana-an ‘alayka anta kama athnayta ‘ala nafsika

(Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 3556. Also see: Targhib, vol. 2 pg. 119)

Translation

I seek refuge through Your Pardon from Your Punishment, I seek protection from Your Anger through Your Pleasure and I seek protection From You [Your Anger] through You [Your Mercy], Your [Grandeur] is sublime, I am unable to praise you [as You ought to be praised], You are as You have praised Yourself.

And Allah Ta’ala knows best.
