Can women call out the Azaan and Iqaamah in a low voice for their Salaahs?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. With regards to the subject (of giving Azaan), the hadith mentions/ speaks only about men….What about women? Is it a sin if we were to call the Adhaan and Iqamaah in a low voice in the presence of only woman, or people of our household e.g my younger brother etc.?

A. Islam has not stipulated calling out theAzaan or Iqaamah for females. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar Radhiyallahu Anhuma as well as Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas Radhiyallahu Anhuma have stated, “There is no Azaan or Iqaamah for females.” (Sunanul Kubra, Musannaf Abdur Razzaaq)

Hence, females should simply perform their Salaah without Azaan or Iqaamah.
